Ammonite

Plaster cast of a fossilised Ammonite (the pre-historic molluscs which died out at the end of the Cretaceous period). So named for their apparent resemblance to Rams' horns, worn by the Egyptian God - Ammon.

Cast directly from a four million year old fossil.

Dimensions (cm): Diameter 6.5, Depth 3.

To the rear, hand-initialled and stamped with the Alexander Griffin maker's mark.
