Plaster cast of a Renaissance Istrian corbel.

Dramatic and robust architectural scale offset by light and playful foliate carved decoration and fluting to the leading edge.

Cast from the original c.1500s stone artefact.

Dimensions (cm): 50 (height), 30 (width), 12 (depth).

To the rear, hand-initialled and stamped with the Alexander Griffin maker's mark, and fitted with a brass wire loop for wall-hanging from a single nail / screw / hook.

Picture iii - displayed alongside Scallop shell and isolated Diana roundel.
