Plaster cast of an elaborately carved handsome Lion's face. Noble features and wonderful mane.

Cast from a lead fountain mask, originally created for a foundry in Chiswick in C19, styled after a Roman Lion.

Dimensions (cm): Height 31, Width 28, Depth 12.

To the rear, hand-initialled and stamped with the Alexander Griffin maker's mark, and fitted with a brass 'D ring' for wall-hanging from a single screw / nail / hook.
