Plaster cast of a relief panel featuring a venerable Lion's face.

Isolated and cast from the jamb of an early 19th century Italian marble fire surround in the Renaissance style. Wonderful delicate details and historic patina.

Dimensions (cm): Height 25.5, Width 16, Depth 4 / 6.

To the rear, hand-initialled and stamped with the Alexander Griffin maker's mark and fitted with a brass 'D ring' for wall hanging from a single screw / nail / hook.
